HI NOTES: Little League Recruit, Big 12 Leading Tiger

RECRUITS

It's with a measure of disbelief that Jeff Echelmeier has trained his eyes on the images from the summer of 2006, when he managed Will and the 10 other boys on the Daniel Boone National League All-Stars all the way to Williamsport, Pa., becoming only the second Missouri team to qualify for the Little League World Series.
. . .
Ryan Phillips, a Missouri signee, has been the ace of Rock Bridge's pitching staff with a 5-2 record and an ERA near 1.00.
. . .
"Learning at an early age to deal with pressure has probably been the biggest thing I've gained from that whole experience," Phillips said. "Being able to come into a position where you have to throw strikes and the crowd's going crazy and stuff like that. You've just got to bear down. That's what it's mainly helped me with."
